Welcome to WordCrowd, the unofficial WordPress manual.

WordCrowd.org is a crowd-sourced resource for all things WordPress. We'd like to show really practical ways to accomplish things with WordPress, as well as show ideas on how to do things. Ideally, another member of our crowd can come along with the practical code advice.

To contribute or edit, you must create an account with a valid email address. We don't have a lot of structure at this point; we're just happy to have your contributions. Something to keep in mind though: as you create pages, please keep the page names simple and to the point. We want the info here to be as search-friendly to new users as possible. In fact please keep everything as simple as possible.

Why is this a wiki and not a WordPress-driven site? Our goal for WordCrowd is for it to become a resource that has definitive solutions. One of our biggest frustrations in working with WordPress is when we search for a solution and find a blog post from 5 years ago that doesn't relate to the newest release of WP. As a wiki, WordCrowd will rely on its community to update code and instructions as the WP platform changes. So that one article remains relevant.
